Frequently Asked Questions

I’m interested in the school. What should I do next?

Call the school at 360-832-6579 or send us an email at lagarllitoscenter12@comcast.net and set up an appointment for a tour at 5:00 pm or 5:30 pm. Please make sure to let us know which school you are interested in. Remember we have two locations, 1 in Issaquah and 1 in Eatonville. During your visit we will show you the inside and outside of our facility, explain the daily routine of the school, the policies, and answer all your questions. If you would like to proceed with enrollment you are welcome to make an appointment to stop by a second time during classroom hours to see the interaction between the teachers and the students.

What are your registration, deposit and tuition fees?

The registration fee is $300. This is paid the first day of school, is non-refundable, and is due every school year in September. The registration fee covers school supplies.

The deposit fee for full time and part time students is $200. This deposit is refundable on the last month of the child’s attendance (as long as there has been notification at least one month in advance that the child will be leaving Lagarllito’s). The school must receive a written notice one month in advance prior to the child departing from school.

The tuition fee varies depending on the age of the student and the program they attend. Please see our Tuition costs. We do not pro-rate tuition, so parents are responsible for the entire month whether or not their child is at school each day. Remember that the school is reserving a space for your child.

What are your hours?

Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Are there any forms we need to complete prior to our child attending Lagarllito’s Garden Bilingual Spanish School?

There are four forms you are required to complete prior to your child’s attendance:

  • Lagarllito’s Garden Bilingual School Agreement.
  • Lagarllito’s Garden Bilingual Spanish School‘s Parent Handbook (One copy with your signature in it will be for the school, the other one for your records. Please keep this handbook to reference throughout the year.)
  • Certificate of Immunization Status (Updated Status from your Doctor’s office)
  • Child Health History Form (Yearly doctor’s physical examination)

NOTE: Children will not be accepted at school until all forms are completely filled out.

Do you require proof of my child’s immunizations?

A Certificate of Immunization Status (CIS) form must be used, current, and updated yearly. All children must be current on their immunizations.

If there is a signed exemption to immunizations, the child may need to be excluded from the school if there is an outbreak of a vaccine preventable disease for which the child has not been immunized.

Do you offer a trial period?

Yes, we have a four-week trial period. This time is used to observe the child’s adjustment to care and to talk about any concerns. We will talk to you daily about your child’s day. Please tell us if you have any concerns. After the four-week trial period we will determine if the school services are satisfactory to everyone.

What are the class times?

Our program hours are 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, with extended drop-in times from 6:30 am – 9:30 am and 3:30 pm – 6:00 pm. There is a charge of $17.00 per each extra hour.

For the before and after school program please call for more information at 425-657-0338.

Do you offer a family discount?

Yes. When more than one child from the same family is enrolled full-time (Monday through Friday), a 5% discount is applied to the oldest child’s tuition.

How is security handled for drop-off and pick-up?

The parent, guardian or authorized person must sign the child in and sign out at pick-up and drop-off times. The sign in/out tablet is located at the entrance.

Who makes up the teaching staff at Lagarllito’s Garden Bilingual Spanish School?

Here at Lagarllito’s Garden, we encourage teachers to pursue further education to better educate our students. All of our teachers have completed or are pursuing a CDA, associate’s or bachelor’s degree.

You can read more about us in About Us.

Do you provide receipts for tax purposes?

We are unable to provide this service due to the great number of students we have enrolled. Parents are responsible to keeping track of their payments and Lagarllito’s Garden can sign off on your flexible spending from your Accountant.

Can my child bring anything from home?

Yes. If your child is attached to a stuffed animal he/she may bring it for nap time.

On the day of show and tell your child is welcome to bring an item and talk about it.

Please see the Parent Handbook for various items your child needs to bring depending on their age.

My child has certain allergies. Will these be considered at the school?

Yes, Lagarllito’s Garden Bilingual School is a nut-free environment: No foods with peanuts and nuts will be accepted at school.

Parents are responsible to bring their child’s meals, (breakfasts or lunches) and one snack. Please make sure they are nutritionally balanced meals. Please check labels to make sure there are not any nut ingredients or by-products.

Our school is also a smoke-free environment and smoking will not be permitted anywhere on the premises during school hours.
